The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation is frequently asked whether individuals with CTCL and CBCL are able to be blood or organ donors. According to our Medical Advisory Council (MAC), because both are malignancies (ie. blood cancer) they are a contraindication to organ and blood donation - in other words, they should not be used because they may do harm. Individuals with lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP) would probably also be declined for the same contraindication.
